Well it finally happened......the dreaded stall. Im not at all disappointed that it happened, because I knew it was going to happen eventually! However this was just a small stall, Im sure there will be many more to come.
Lets see the last time I weighed myself would have been Dec.6 and I was at 29lbs lost from the day of surgery, when I weighed myself again on the 14th nothing....... so in 1 week no weight loss, BUT....no weight gain which was great to see considering usually i would see the scale go up and down all the time. So I thought to myself not to get discouraged, I kept doing what I have been doing which is eating healthy and drinking lots of water. So I jumped on teh scale Thursday and loan be hold the scale had moved!YEAH. I was down 4.5lbs which brings my total to you got it 33.5lbs, making my grand total 47.5lbs since PATs in Oct.

3 weeks on Monday!!!!
Well, lets see......last Monday was my 2 week checkup at the Barix. Lorne decided to come with me, thank goodness, cause we met some nasty ass weather on the way home!
So we got to the Barix about 330pm a bit early, but I was going to go up and see a friend who had her surgery that day, but unfortuntely she was still beat from the surgery. So I checked in and lone be hold, I got called in right away. My appointment wasnt till 5pm, so this was great. Went in got weighed, I have lost since surgery 10lbs. That was on Monday! Im very happy. Dr. Schram says I am doing amazing. and he could even notice a difference in me in jsut two weeks as well.
So I will be weighing myself on Monday too see how much I have lost. Should be interesting.
My pants are fitting so much nicer now and my shirts I dont have o stretch the bottom out anymore!!YEAH!!
Heres to more exciting discoveries in the future!!!

MISS YOU ALWAYS AND FOREVER TREV!!!
Sad news as I hear things flying around lastnight about a fatal car accident lastnight on Hwy 4 south of Exeter. When you hear of situations from people and not knowing if you know them is a scary thing. I hear the a friend was killed in a car accident lastnight, but not sure if it was true. Well I got the comfirmation this morning on the news. A friend of mine was killed along with a women. The one thing that amazes me and probably will always is that his 3 beautiful children were with them as well. The women lost control of the mini van and the vehicle slid into the path of a transport truck head on. You can only imagine the images that are goign to left in the heads of those children. The one was in a car seat and the police are so amazed that nothing happened , that car seat was glued, didnt even move an inch!! Trev knew what exactly he was doing putting that car seat in.
Its hard to grasp that only 32 his life has ended, and to such an amazing friend and father. He loved his children dearly adn would do anythign for them, like any parent would.
Trev, I will miss that smile of yours and all the funs times we shared together. Your kids are going to be okay, there are so many of us that will be looking out for them. Keep doing what it is you are doing jsut in another place we will have to wait to see you once again!!
Love ya, Miss ya Trev. Rest in Peace

And Today.............
Well there I am still with my head up!!LOL, God that cocktail pump really made me feeling great!!!!
Today Im just a little over 1 week post op and I feel really good. I have no pain what so ever since about last friday ish. Trying to get in all my liquids and protein. Its hard but Im getting close. My incisions look good and no bruising at all. I think I might be one of the lucky ones!
I believe that pic was taken either monday night or tuesday afternoon. I cant remember. I wanted to get a pic of me pre-op but I was a little distracted with everything that was going on! OH well, now the fun begins with takin pics every month to see how I am doing with weight loss. I weighed myself yesterday and I have lost almost 10lbs. Its exciting to know its coming off, but I will be expecting stalls along the way. I will try to tell myself not to get discouraged because its all with losing the weight!
So I just wanted to post to let you all know Im doing great and couldnt be happier!

SURGERY WAS GOOD!
Hey everyone,
Just thought I would update you on how my hospital stay was. Well when I arrived at the Barix everything was good, they wisked me off to pre-op and got my weight which was great I was down 15lbs since my consult. They then started the dreaded IV....okay so I HATE the IV is sucks big time, three tries before they actually got it in.OUCH...so that was okay, then I did have a moment of scared. Lorne finally was able to come and see me before they took me to the OR. I left at about 1120am(I dont remember leaving the pre-op and then nothing until about 4 in the afternoon. I was so freakin drugged! I think it took a bit for my pain to become controlled. I can tell you that I dont like Morphine at all, it just made me so tired and high(LOL I know some of you are thinking that would be awesome, yeah not me) so they then finally gave me som Vicodine which worked so much better.
Meet some other Canadians there that we ended up walking the halls and hanging out for a bit. Robin adn Michelle you guys are awesome!
Then Wednesday came and I was able to go home. YEAH, I loved being at the Barix cause theytreate you amazingly, but I wanted to come back to ONT. especially to see my son and family.
So now....I still have gas issues, but Im hoping that it will leave with in the next day or so.

PASSED
Well I have passed my testing!!YEAH...happydance! My bestfriend and I went down on Sunday to say at the Marriott in Ypsilanti MI. It was a very nice place to stay!
So I had many people tell me to make sure you are at the clinic about and hour or so ahead of your appointment. Well I was I got there about 705am and got almost a page read in my book and they wisked me away to the lab to get blood drawn! WOW quick. So 5 tubes of blood later I then got taken to see the nurse and go over my med. history, got weighed and etc. So she then told me to put on this wonderful gown(that was huge on me..LOL) and another lady came in to look at my heart. So she stuck some sticky pads all over my chest, a couple on my legs and a couple on my arms. Heart was great! so got to put my clothes back on, and just as I was finished one more lady came in. She was the respirtory nurse. She checked my lungs and had taught me how to use my Resprix that I will have to use everyday 6-8 times a day up until surgery and then use after surgery. Its pretty neat. Then off to nutritian class. I was very tired at this point, consistantly yawning, but was able to stay away and learn so much stuff. Foods that I thought I would never be able to eat again,I still will be able to eat later on after my 6 week healing. Learning how to read labels properly, and what sugars are good for me and the ones that will hurt me after surgery. This was an hour long or so. By the time I got back to the lobby to wait for Xray, it was 950am. Met a wonderful lady there who is from ON as well. She was with her son who are both having the surgery done Nov.4. All the best to them both.
So after waiting for about a 1/2 hour i was called back to have xrays takin of my lungs I believe or heart or both, then to have an ultrasound down on my gallbladder. Now I found out I have gallstones. I have never had a problem with this as I can remember. But I have the decision to make whether I want it taken out during surgery. So I will be going from laproscopic RNY to open RNY. The recovery time is now 2 weeks instead of a week, and I really dont want to have the surgery open. Ive talked to many and they say it can be taken care of laproscopic as well. So I think I may wait till after surgery and see how I deal with it. If it gets worst then I will have it taken care of in ON. I am still up in the air on to what I will want to do. That was my day. I was finished at 1120am. Very long day.
So everything is a go and ready for surgery!Nov.3 here I come!!!
